Child's first mobile phone, using parentshield

I'm looking to get my DD her first mobile phone for her birthday. When I've been doing a bit of research, I've come across parentshield.co.uk/, which claims to be a child-safe mobile network.

It looks good, with generally positive reviews, but I'm just wondering if anyone here has any experience of it?

If you need a shield on the phone, the child isn’t ready to have it. You need to educate and talk to the child and not rely on tech to protect them. You need to be able to rely on the child.

Any controls can be circumvented.

Yes, we have for ours and, honestly, it's brilliant. You won't be disappointed.

Not heard of it but we did use Google family link to control access when ds got his first phone. Although we only wanted it so he could only access during certain hours of the day but you can set parental controls and see what apps they download and use etc
