Not sure if I'm posting in right place however looking for advice. I've been married since I was 19 I'm now 46. Three daughters. All planned. Used the withdrawal method apart from few years on the Depo and then mini pill. Since my last daughter was born 12 years ago we have used no contraception except withdrawal. However for the last year I've got so anxious about an accidental pregnancy that we have stopped having sex. Tried condoms but just not for us. I don't want to go on hormonal birth control and a coil is not for me. My husband is 50 so a vasectomy is an option but seems a bit pointless with me being 46. A pregnancy is so unlikely ?

Your husband needs to have the vasectomy. You really can’t be sure you won’t conceive. Have you tried different condoms?

If you are still having periods you can still get pregnant. If you don't want to get pregnant and you don't want to use condoms or the pill / coil then either you need to have the snip, or he does.

I'm 47 and I wouldn't take the chance. I still have regular periods.

My bf has had a vasectomy. It's bliss! Wink
