Well yes apparently it was prostate cancer so sadly this will have been going on for some time

Great actor but he had a big drug problem at one time and was physically abusive to his girlfriend the deaf actress Marlee Maitlin.

I thought the same until I read about his treatment of Marlee Martin, I would look it up and you may feel differently.

I didn't know about that and have just looked it up. Bloody hell, she was only 19 in COALG ,he was nearly twice her age and both addicts. Dreadful.
