Semantle thread 3 is almost full and we don't seem to be running out of steam, so here's a nice new shiny thread for those, like me, who are mad enough to start the new game at Midnight.

The game of Semantle can be found by folowing this link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

Quite pleased with this result. Only 6 greens before I got the result with a little bit of help from online thesaurus!

I don't think googling synonyms is cheating because you're only playing against yourself. I don't do it though, because I'm too bloody minded to give in in any way. Which might explain why I take so long most days!

Also use synonyms online!

I have 972, 974, 975, 986, 989 and 994 as my top greens and even googling synonyms isn’t helping!

Oh I'm interested to hear that 986 is an odd one to hint from, as that's my highest and I have been basing all my recent guesses on that!! Should I just ignore it?
