Semantle thread 3 is almost full and we don't seem to be running out of steam, so here's a nice new shiny thread for those, like me, who are mad enough to start the new game at Midnight.

The game of Semantle can be found by folowing this link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

It's nice to hit an early green, I was 50-odd guesses in before I saw a green today!

I'm 60 guesses in and have one low green, argh. My decent streak seems to be over 😂

After yesterday’s spectacular performance I have no greens yet after 30 guesses

Got it! I got a low green quite quickly, but then spent ages trying ti find words related to that with no success, started putting random words in again because the green theme was getting me nowhere, and landed on 999 totally at random. Bounced around there for a little while, then got it.
