Semantle thread 3 is almost full and we don't seem to be running out of steam, so here's a nice new shiny thread for those, like me, who are mad enough to start the new game at Midnight.

The game of Semantle can be found by folowing this link. It's a word game like Wordle in that you need to find the secret word of the day, but it works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, one of the secret words was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

We tend to use the threads to rant about how we're getting nowhere, celebrate our successes and laugh about the previous day's top 1000 but please, no spoilers. Subtle hints only here; use DMs for more obvious clues.

I can't believe it took me so long, I was all around the 900s for ages. It was so obvious once I got it.

Got lucky today. A tip for fellow newbies to remember US spelling in your guesses - their words are much more common than ours (btw this doesn't relate to today's word directly)
