What do you take when you are going away for 24 hours?

Rucksack too far too small - wheelie cabin bag seems excessive but need to take party clothes and shoes, night wear, hair tools, make up as well as clean clothes and toiletries?

I also wanted to travel in leggings and a hoodie and wear going something different on the way back as stopping off.

I always take a wheelie cabin bag, when I have been away with work my colleagues do the same. I would rather have a larger bag and get everything in it than have to carry more than one bag:

I've got a bag from river island that's like a hold-all but looks like a very large handbag

I’ve got a hold-all type bag, which was in the cab kit when we bought a new tractor Grin it’s not fashionable at all (altho it’s Fendt, so if you’re in the trade, it’s as good as it gets Wink 😂) but it’s just the perfect size with handy side pockets etc. It was my hospital bag too when I had my son.
Just take the wheelie case, who cares if it looks excessive? Go for whatever is easiest for you.

If I am in the car, a hold-all. If having to walk any distance or use public transport, a wheelie bag. No point lugging a heavy bag when you don’t need to?!

Thanks everyone I did opt for the wheelie cabin back and it was great!

I've just done a whole weekend with an average sized backpack. You just have to minimise what you take, plus stuff new underwear into shoes etc to give space.
