I have an appointment booked with a chiro on Monday afternoon but the pain in my lower back, hip and now spreading down my leg is horrific.

I'm sitting on a balance ball as my desk chair was making it worse and it feels better to move it, is anything like stretches, heat treatments etc... that you've found to help?

Paracetamol and Ibuprofen don't touch it Sad

A hot bath was the only thing that relieved my pain, to the point where I was able to do some leg stretches in the bath.

Thank you all for the recommendations and sorry for those still suffering from it, sounds like I’ve got it easy compared to some of you!

I managed to limp around the fields with the dogs for an hour, now going to rest on a hot water bottle then try ice later.

I have what I think is sciatica... Hip pain which goes down my leg. Lots of numbness and pins and needles in my leg too. The more I move about the better it is. Is it the kind of thing you can just crack on with or should I contact gp?

Dont know if you're in London (doesnt sound like it surrounded by fields) but London Acupuncture Clinic, Wimpole Street - Jason Unwin, - literally miracle cure.

I find glute stretches really help
