Heated Throw Recommendations

I’ve seen on a few threads people mention that they’ve invested in a heated throw. If you have one, which one did you get & from where? Have seen a few on Amazon but they seem random brands.

This thread is old now, but if you’ve landed here looking for advice on keeping warm this winter, we’ve recently updated our best heated throw page with loads of toasty Mumsnetter-approved blankets. We hope you find it useful.

I have 2 of these Dreamland velvet heated throw. I bought mine from John Lewis because it came with a 2 year warranty. I absolutely love them and honestly means the heating doesn't need to be on. 1p an hour so what is not to love.

I've got two Dreamland ones from Dunelm.

I did buy two cheaper ones from Amazon before but they only lasted a few months.

I absolutely love them.

We've got two from Aldi. They're not in stock at the moment though, I'd guess they will be a winter line so might be quite a wait.

I have a dreamland one, similar to the one linked above (mine is the cheaper fleece version). It's lovely, great to snuggle up with on the sofa. I looked at some of the cheaper ones on Amazon but they had very mixed reviews, with some saying that the control unit had melted. I'm a bit paranoid about fire risk so I went for one from a high street retailer with a guarantee instead.

I have the husky fur type one from Lakeland.

Dreamland one which I got from argos its been great for my back which for some reason is always cold.

Smokeahontas · 11/03/2022 17:16

Thanks for recommendations. I don’t have an Aldi nearby Sad will have a look at Dreamland instead. Would rather get something from a recognised brand than a fire hazard!

I bought a Beurer from amazon. The same one Lakeland sell. Its got 6x settings and my Mum uses it when she naps in the day (she's ill) as her downstairs bed is in a colder room. She puts it on 3 and it warms her up enough to be able to get a nap.

This one, but in leopard. Best thing I've bought in the last two years.

Dreamland. I bought a Lakeland one at the same time and sent it back as I could feel the wire too much.

Smokeahontas · 15/03/2022 21:53

Just in case anyone else was looking for one, they’re currently on Amazons Deal of The Day (Dreamland)

I brought one for my daughter costing £35 from Lidl recently... I tried it out and was amazed at how warm it was... unfortunately they were sold out do couldn't get myself one

bonfireheart · 15/03/2022 22:14

Have the little one too and it'd great.

bonfireheart · 15/03/2022 22:15

*Lidl not little!

BasaltIsland · 15/03/2022 22:22

I have the Dreamland faux fur one, and it’s very good. The cat obsessed with it and even grooms it from time to time... that is the only downside as there is a bit of a tug of love going on when we both want to use it.
