Vinted - anyone ever left negative feedback?

So, I've used Vinted very successfully for over a year now - never had any issues either with selling or buying.

I have sold something recently. Royal Mail Tracking shows it was delivered last Friday. Yet the buyer has not clicked 'received' nor 'all ok' - meaning I cannot access my payment. Buyer is ignoring my polite messages requesting her to do so, ever since saying she'd 'have a look' on Sunday. I've contacted Vinted for assistance but seems they can't do much apart from allow another week to elapse before releasing the funds to me.

It isn't a high ticket item, but I do need the money and pride myself on being prompt and truthful with my buyers. I've never left negative feedback about anything before, but feel others should be made aware that this buyer is not 5. I suppose I'm a bit worried about the repercussions of doing so. I have glowing feedback and have so far successfully bought and sold tens of items all with 5 reviews. If the buyer were to respond to my truthful feedback in a negative way as a tit for tat, can this be disputed by me to vinted and removed (just thinking worst case scenario)?

Any experience and advice appreciated.

As a new member of vented, I have to say I did not know sellers didn’t receive payment until I clicked received!
I didn’t do it immediately for something as I wanted to check the size but had things on for a couple of days.
Is the buyer aware you don’t get your funds until they confirm? Did you put that on the msg?
I wouldn’t have expected to be given crap feedback in less than a week though, if had received rubbish feedback so quickly I would definitely not have given glowing feedback to the seller.

I didn't realise you didn't get paid either. I thought it was more like ebay. I'll make sure I give feedback promptly in future now.

MyBeloved · 10/03/2022 20:12

Yes, I have sent a number of polite messages explaining the situation, which the buyer has acknowledged but is now ignoring. Vinted also prompts the buyer.

There is no excuse really.

It is fair that they want to try on etc, but they've had a week to do so. They only need to click 'delivered' to release the funds, they can still request a refund if it does not match the description etc.

You will receive payment after the time elapses though? It gives the buyer time to make sure everything is OK with the item. If they forget, it happens automatically and you'll still get the money. This is laid out clearly in the ts&cs.
It is a bit annoying but I don't think it's grounds for negative feedback.

@User65412 exactly what @Handsoffreturns stated. It will be yet another week on top of the automatic payment from vinted, before I receive my funds. That means I will have waited around 3 weeks for payment, totally unnecessarily. The buyer is being rude ignoring my polite requests. She clearly knows what to do, particularly as she has also been prompted by Vinted. Like @Handsoffreturns, she claimed she had not received the item even though my tracking clearly shows delivered and signed for.

@Handsoffreturns, did you receive negative feedback from the buyers, following yours, as a tit for tat? Was there a process by which you could dispute it or have it removed if so?

I totally get it - I sell several items a week on vinted and I'd say about 30% don't hit the 'all ok' button. I find it very annoying an always do it myself promptly but I feel like it's just part of using vinted which I knew when I signed up for it. I thought it was only a couple of days though. Why has the delivery status not been updated on vinted automatically?
Her saying she hasn't received it when she has is different though - has she clicked 'not received'?

EdgeOfSeventeenAndThreeQuarter · 10/03/2022 20:45

I bought something a few weeks ago and got laid up with Covid and tbh logging on to Vinted just seemed all a bit “too much”. If I’d known the seller wouldn’t get her cash, I’d have made the effort - but it wasn’t me being deliberately arsey and I’d be annoyed if I got poor feedback just for not hitting a button.

MyBeloved · 10/03/2022 20:45

@User65412 for some reason, the delivery status has not been updated on vinted, nor is there a tracking journey like there would normally be. However, Royal Mail tracking is most definitely stating it had been delivered and signed for.

The buyer is simply ignoring my deliberately very polite messages, which makes me think she just can't be bothered .

Ah I see! Sorry I thought you meant you wanted to give her negative feedback for not clicking 'all ok' quickly enough which happens automatically after 2 days. I was confused about why it would take a further week!
Annoying that the delivery status hasn't updated and I do find vinted very slow and frustrating whenever I have an issue. I get they want people to resolve things themselves amd it's taken them time to review but they are painfully slow and it's obvious the item is delivered. An awkward buyer doesn't help but I do think the vinted system should be better. Not sure if it's worth the risk of negative feedback incase she does the same and it shouldn't normally be an issue when vinted is running properly! Tough one though.
