My 8 year old really loves books, he also loves an audio story.
We have just purchase a yoto player for our 3 year old which he loves but worry he will grow out of.
I was looking at an iPod touch for my 8 year old, does anybody have any experience of books from the Apple audio book store?

It includes a wide range of tried, tested and approved-by-Mumnsetters recommendations, from classic tales to the latest five-star reads. We hope it’s helpful! Flowers

My dd2, who has just turned 9, uses audible for audiobooks and listens on a phone, bit you could use a tablet. She enjoys choosing her own books with her monthly credit.
