Hobbies

Do you have one? What do you do?

As I'm getting older and friends - rightly so - have other priorities now such as kids and partners, I'm finding myself feeling increasingly isolated as my social circle has really dwindled over the last few years.

I'm 40, single and childless, and an introvert to boot, so putting myself out there doesn't come naturally to me but I'm thinking I should really take up a hobby now that hopefully life is getting back to normal after Covid, and get me back out there rather than sitting in drinking too much wine.

What's your hobby?

I have loads! Alas I don't think any actually "get me out there" as I do most at home (although I guess classes etc could be found and some things people meet up socially for). My main ones are crochet, wool dyeing, embroidery, sewing (clothes mainly), digital art on the iPad, just started water colour painting, gardening, making jam, baking, boardgames (that can be pretty social, although we just play at home). I think it's so important to find hobbies which you love, and bring you joy.

Those sound ace @misskatamari

I love baking but I'm also trying to lose lockdown weight so trying not to do that! I know I said I want to get back out there but I should probably also consider things to occupy my time in general. I like photography, interior design/architecture, travelling, fashion to name a few.

I have a few hobbies, things I enjoy doing , not always with other people though .
I like crochet, gardening, painting , I go walking the dogs or by myself , I like to swim at the gym and do yoga . I have a very mithered job that takes a lot of head space during the day so I don't need a lot of company after work . I do belong to a few Facebook groups that are joined to the things I like so get a lot of chat that way .
Maybe if you went to your local hobbycraft ,if it's a crafty thing you fancy, and had a look at a few of their classes or around the store you might find something you fancy having a go at .
What do you fancy doing ? That's the main question 😊
