I am run down, stressed and still faintly recovering from Covid (mostly just get tired easily now but still achey quite easily).

Today I need to: sort out some work admin and answer a couple of emails. Probably 2 hours ish

Settle on a gentle enough yoga programme to get me back into daily practice. I tried one yesterday and did too much.

Need to do yoga practice

Do some other physical activity like a walk or an easy YouTube work out

Cook Sunday lunch

Entertain my mother

I am the Queen of procrastination.

When I just CAN'T get going I write a list to tick off - but (and this is key!) I write some things on it that I have already done

I know it sounds daft, but it makes me feel like I've already made a start, so I just need to carry on. It seems to make it all less large and nebulous.

Do the work admin now and then go for walk. Admin NOW!

WeAreTheHeroes · 06/03/2022 09:35

Do the work first to get it out of the way.

Prep and cook lunch.

Go for a walk as a family afterwards.

Do the yoga as a wind down this evening.

Cancel the lunch and have sandwiches or pasta.

Do the admin first.

Tell mother to entertain herself whilst you do yoga this afternoon.

I've got to change the bedding, hang up the washing, cook roast dinner and drag the kids out for a walk as it's sunny.

So far managed to get them to do their homework so that's a major tick off the list.

Said kids were up at 4.30 this morning though so am feeling even more procrastinaty than usual. My ADHD doesn't help as I get even more easily distracted.

Should really do some work too but, meh, we'll see.....

There is a good app called Structured which I do find helps when I have a list of jobs to do in a day.
