Just listened to landslide after not hearing it for a while and it has touched my soul again.

What’s your fave Fleetwood Mac song and why?

You are allowed to choose a Stevie nicks solo instead if you have a really good reason.

So many, but if I had to whittle it down Landslide would be mine too.

But I love the power of The Chain and my young children love singing along to Edge of Seventeen in the car (ooh baby, ooh baby ooh!).

IPlayer is showing a most excellent FM concert from the 90s. They’re all magnificent and so tight, but I especially loved Christine McVie singing and Mick’s facial expressions when drumming.

What a class act.

My DD(19) has introduced me to FM over the past few years. How did I not know how good they are?!
Today we went to a car boot and she is very pleased with her haul of vinyl including Tango in the Night and Tusk Smile

Zerrin13 · 05/03/2022 22:22

So so many amazing songs but for me its Dreams

Roadhouse111 · 05/03/2022 22:25

OP try Storms, it's my favourite Stevie FM song. Perfect for heartbreak and hard times.
I do love 'has anyone ever written anything for you' and 'beauty and the beast' from Stevie's solo career, both bring me to tears every time especially when you read what 'has anyone written ' is about ☹️

woodhill · 05/03/2022 22:31

I quite like Diane as well

poppym12 · 05/03/2022 22:39

Songbird
Go Your Own Way
Dreams

gingerhills · 05/03/2022 22:53

I love Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow too. We used to do Jane Fonda workouts in our leotards and leg warmers to that! Grin

Strokethefurrywall · 05/03/2022 23:02

Go Your Own way
The Chain
Rhiannon

Stevie Nicks solos
Edge of Seventeen

I saw them live at Earls court in 1999 (around that time) and it was like listening to their live album. Amazing, easily one of the best bands I’ve ever seen, alongside Iron Maiden at Shepherds Bush Empire in early 2000s.

NeedWineNow · 05/03/2022 23:46

Landslide
Rhiannon

LyndaSnellsSniff · 05/03/2022 23:58

My absolute favourite is That's Alright. I love that there's no preamble at the beginning and you just launch straight into the vocal. It's a great so to belt out in the car.

I love Landslide too and get a bit possessive when I hear cover versions!

Also love Gold Dust Woman, Rhiannon, Gypsy and Edge of Seventeen.

Tango in the Night is a very sexy song. Reminds me of my first proper boyfriend.

Man Of The World is wonderful and incredibly sad, "and I wish I was in love". It reminds me of train journeys between Stirling and Glasgow when I was a student.

merrymelodies · 06/03/2022 00:03

Everywhere

Another one for Landslide

SunshinePaddles · 06/03/2022 00:57

Hands down The Chain and Tusk are my favorite however anything Fleetwood Mac is awesome.

I haven't listened to them for a little while, I've been addicted to country lately. Maybe it's time to bring them back into rotation.

Sirzy · 06/03/2022 00:58

The chain. Amazing song

JudyGemstone · 06/03/2022 01:07

Sara is beautiful and sad, think Stevie wrote it after terminating Don Henley’s baby which makes it so poignant, esp ‘there’s a heartbeat and it never really died’ Sad

Gold Dust Woman is one of the realest songs about cocaine addiction ever written.

All of Rumours is amazing, what a masterpiece of an album. They’re such a fascinating band, hugely talented individuals with complex relationships.

Also love Tango in the Night, especially Seven Wonders.

JudyGemstone · 06/03/2022 01:09

My teenage daughter loves them too, they’re timeless really

AuntTwacky · 06/03/2022 01:10
