Ukraine animals

Obviously I’ve donated to human charities but its really struck me about the suffering of animals there too. Not to mention the utter heartbreaking scenes of people traipsing through rubble clutching their beloved pets. I can’t imagine their pain. I would like to be able to donate to reputable charities in the Ukraine helping animals - can anyone suggest some please? I would like to help smaller shelters there too and also wondered if there are any polish border town shelters that can be helped? Many thanks

There was a thread on Sunday about this with a list of charities, but it got deleted because it had links to charities. Confused(no, me neither)
I managed to donate to one of them mentioned before the thread was reported and deleted, if you look on the Eurogrouo for Animals website (not in itself a fundraising site) it gives a list of organisations to donate to.

This one was recommended to me, worth a look.

I’ve just seen this one on an aibu thread. What really made me feel so sad for her was she wasn’t just rescuing abandoned pets and injured ones but breeders were dumping litters of pups on her too. It must be so distressing for her to work out the logistics of feeding all those animals on top of her own survival. Some people are so kind, amidst so much horror. I’m sure this is replicated across Ukraine.

The BBC were also reporting on this - worth a read for some ideas of how to help.

I found this one, if you're still looking. mobile.twitter.com/Network4Animals

I've donated to a YouTuber I follow, who's staying behind with her rescues. She feeds strays anyway, but is also now feeding and caring for stray pets that've been left behind.

What a tragedy.

Did you see the video of the woman who led her horses to the forest and set them free? She’s trying to give them the best chance to survive. Dogs and cats can possibly be taken with their owners, but bigger animals are a problem.
I’ve donated to DEC already, but am going to look for an animal charity to donate to.
