I tried the gousto app as I got a 65% discount so only paid £20.10 for 4 meals for 4 ppl (there's only 2 if us so thought it would do lunch as well the next day, but the portions are really generous so I've actually frozen half of all the main items on all 4 meals (so 2 portions) to use at a later date as even just making it for 2 has left us enough over for lunch the next day; the ingredients comes in packs of 2 portions (eg, 250g minced beef, so get 2 x 250g packs for 4 ppl).

So far we've had:

Creamy Pulled Chicken Soup with Garlic Ciabatta which was really nice and plenty for 4 servings from their '2 portions'..
Smoky Fish Cakes with Wilted Greens and Curried Mayo, again it was really good and again made enough from their 2 portions to serve 4.
Tonight is Smoky Beef Empanadas with Chimichurri, Spicy Wedges and mixed leaf salad. Smells amazing, but haven't eaten it yet. Again enough for lunch tmrw.

Wow great place to come for meal ideas!

We had oven roasted chicken, squash, peppers and spinach covered in tandoori paste.

DD had fish fingers and smiley faces and I had prawn risotto. We both fancied fish tonight.

@mamaduckbone

Tortellini with bacon, broccoli and pesto. Quick and easy after rugby training.
Oooh i like the sound of this, and I am not a pesto fan normally.

Lovely ideas here.

We are away this weekend so I think most likely a pub meal. DS1 is already focused on the concept of hotdogs and chips so hopefully they have that. DS2 is likely to default to margerita pizza and chips.

@HandlebarLadyTash

Pasta / grated cheese for kids need something quick before club & they are rubbish eaters
One of mine is a rubbish eater also. he has sensory issues and a very limited palate. It's depressing!

@SnowFoxWinterFox - it's been ds16's favourite midweek easy meal since he was about 3 and he still loves it. Cook the broccoli in with the filled pasta, fry up the bacon until crisp, stir it all together with the pesto and loads of grated Parmesan on top. It takes about 5 minutes.
