To think that carelessness overrides the good attributes that a person has?
My DH has many good attributes or maybe atleast I thought he did.. but perhaps not quite so much now. But it's just dawned on me that he's just so... careless? In fact he couldn't care less about pretty much anything and everything lately and it's become really frustrating and actually pretty bloody tiring.
Small examples but honestly I think it applies to pretty much everything DH does overall atm. These a just a few examples from today only:
- DH has 'sorted through' the stack of letters that we've accumulated and has a huge pile ready for shredding/ disposal but I just can't trust that he's not getting rid of anything important as he probably got bored/ careless and decided he'd just chuck the lot without much thought. Should I bother checking or do we both suffer the consequences if he has disposed of something important?
- DH will just leave things out in the garden that should be stored away and then they need replacing, guess who usually ends up replacing (hint - it's not him!)
- He doesn't seem to care about personal hygiene so much lately
- He doesn't seem to care that his pants/ socks/ clothes have massive holes in them, despite having plenty of new ones that he could wear
- He doesn't seem to care that DC is outgrowing their clothes and we need to buy some essentials
I'm not actually sure he cares about me too much now that I think about it, which has been quite the eye opener.
Is there perhaps something more going on, could there be a link to depression/ ADHD?
I'm struggling to think if this is a new thing or whether he's always been this way and I've just come to realise. Or do you think this just seems normal behaviour for men? Do I need to look past the carelessness and look for the good instead?
