Waking shoes

Hi

I have an autistic 10 year old , who can't do her shoe laces up . She's going on a school residential soon and I'm looking for some water proof shoes/boots that don't have laces . Can anyone recommend any?

I forgot to say she's an adult size 7, which makes it more difficult to find .

Salomon do some with a toggle for want of a better word. There is a plastic bit with a button on it and you press the button and pull the lace through. I was going to say lock laces too.

I'm autistic and though I can tie my own laces, I bloody hate doing it!

I have replaced shoelaces in all trainers and walking boots with lock laces or rubber shoelace connectors.

Just search 'no tie shoelaces' and hopefully you'll find something that your daughter can manage. Cheaper than specialist shoes!

Skechers trainers that look like laces but slip on.

These are mostly expensive, couple on offer, one with a zip might be more practical, ie more secure on the foot than a pull-on shoe/boot.

These are all Emu, probably best to try on in a shop if there's is a stockist near you.

Also, don't rule out laces if the shoe/boot also has a zip or velcro. You could do the laces up to suit her foot, tie a very secure knot and let her use the zip to take them on and off.
