Mumsnet misrepresented!

Like the daily mash for a good laugh but seems very down on a supportive site for women...

Bet that was written by a man.

And this one is just wrong! No one would say this on here...

I saw it earlier, it made me laugh. It's supposed to be a pisstake, that's the whole point of it.

vodkaredbullgirl · 01/03/2022 17:57

Smile but it is partly true, the nuclear attack.

CecilyTheWake · 01/03/2022 17:58

That’s actually pretty accurate. 😂

JaninaDuszejko · 01/03/2022 18:00

I thought the first article was reasonably funny although the Peppa Pig paragraph is just a reworked Friends joke. Completely agree the second one was written by someone who never has been on MN.

deadlanguage · 01/03/2022 18:00

It’s funny except for the bit about uteruses, err the only time I’ll be reduced to bodily parts is when I’m blown to pieces

JunkIsland · 01/03/2022 18:06

Fine if not especially funny except the transgender bit. It’s a very unfair representation of the feminist boards to say that people are mindlessly parroting the DM.

WeaverofWords · 01/03/2022 18:10

It’s spot on 🤣

midsomermurderess · 01/03/2022 18:10

I thought 'consult Mumsnet over everything' was very accurate.

Birdkin · 01/03/2022 18:13

I mean where is the lie in the first one??

justasoul · 01/03/2022 18:17

V v accurate! I was almost offended by the savoury pancakes (typical way to them in my home country!) but nah, still funny.

cafedesreves · 01/03/2022 18:20

Haha ok fair enough! Didn't like the daily Mail comment. But largely amusing

donquixotedelamancha · 01/03/2022 18:30

I think it's pretty much got us nailed, just needed to work in penguin bollards and the ability to eke out a whole chicken for a month of meals.

valerianaofficiana · 02/03/2022 07:58

Spot on, well, apart from 'hunz' in second article🙄.

user1471517095 · 02/03/2022 08:15

More amazing to me, is that with the universal hatred on Mumsnet of the "Daily Fail" the number of times posters happen to see an article.

Who mentioned the mail?
TheMarzipanDildo · 02/03/2022 08:52

“Naughty time’: sex

Perfect for the Mumsnet generation who love this sort of twee shit. Expect them soon to be excitedly typing: “DD and DS @ sleepovers so LOTS of naughty time with DH!!!” “Need sum naughty time too, hunz!!!””

Yeah fucking right. You’d get slaughtered on here for that.

justasoul · 02/03/2022 08:58

I think they mean the other site, @TheMarzipanDildo Grin

Appalonia · 02/03/2022 08:59

This bit was especially funny:

As the situation deteriorates, Mumsnet will be full of posts like: ‘Bodies everywhere. Food supplies exhausted. Plague has broken out. Squads of men in hazmat suits killing the infected with flamethrowers. Will the examiner take this into account re daughter’s GCSE grades?’

Peak Mumsnet!

inmyslippers · 02/03/2022 09:01

They've definitely spent time here

Cyw2018 · 02/03/2022 09:10

Brilliantly inappropriate. You should be to one writing articles for the daily mash.
ShirleyPhallus · 02/03/2022 09:13

That first article is absolutely spot on!

QuirkyTurtle · 02/03/2022 09:31

I mean, Mumsnet is pretty shit. Sometimes you get some good advice but mostly it's just a bunch of women bashing each other.

I just come here because I'm bored at work but every time I post anything I'm disappointed.

BigFatLiar · 02/03/2022 09:38

Good that it's the Mash otherwise I'd think it was proper journalism. Reflects Mumsnet reasonably well if not perhaps a bit too favourably.
