Do people try and call you by a nickname that you hate and how do you deal with it?

I get called Saz sometimes and I hate it. (always challenge it). It makes me sound like some smartarse down the pub, Gaz, Daz or Baz.

I introduce myself by my nickname quite a lot and people lengthen it to what they think it’s short for.

I’ve also told people my full name and they’ve not believed me.

Sometimes I just lie and say my name is Mary.

do you say 'wahey' whenever someone says 'I'm easy', or pretend to squeeze someone's boobs and make a honk honk noise?

I get occasionally called Lon I LOATHE it and I simply state " do not call me that I detest it" if they try a 2nd time after that I ignore them.

Nope, not at all. Polar opposite.

Though mostly get Mam these days!! 100000 times a day!!

A lot of ppl drop the y off the end of my name. I don’t mind really. My brother calls me a nickname that only him n my dad use but no one else does. It’s not embarrassing or anything just might be outting xxx

I do. It’s a shortened version of my name and I don’t like either.
I’ve started trying out new names when I order my morning coffee. It’s quite fun 😊
