In the spirit of what are your plans today, what do you have planned for the year ahead?

I’m just plodding through some cleaning and got to thinking about the year ahead.

For me, I have some out of this world fantastic fabulous plans.
I get a fuzzy feeling of joy whenever I think about it.

Never have I felt more enthusiastic or excited about a whole year.

What about you. What’s on your horizon?

Share your fabulous plans!

For me at the moment my plans revolve around allotment. Planning what to grow. Hoping something grows. Probably very boring to some but exciting for me.

Can't say I am feeling hugely enthusiastic this morning due to current events, but that aside...

DD is 18 in 2 weeks so some celebrations planned. She's gone off this morning to teach English on a Harry Potter themed holiday camp for half term. Nice now they pay her for these things rather me stumping up.

Holiday planned for South of France in May with DH, then a weekend in Madrid in June with the girls. Then another trip to Puglia planned with friends for September. DH has a hankering to see Matera/Gravina after watching the latest James Bond. We have booked some lovely apartments and a trulli with a pool. Hopefully Putin/Covid won't muck it all up.

DD is planning interrailing with friends after she leaves school in June and then there is all the Uni excitement. She doesn't want to come away with us this year, so I am avoiding the school holidays.

DH has a big birthday in August so I am currently plotting what to do for that. It might involve boats as he was a merchant seaman in his youth. I also booked to come back to UK for the first time in 2 years next month - much catching up to do!

Starting brand new job which is completely different to anything I’ve done before.
Earning more money than I’ve ever earned.
This job is about to banish my crippling social anxiety by pushing me in at the deep end.
This will mean utter freedom after a lifetime of keeping myself in the shadows and avoiding.

I’ve planned 2 holidays.

My eldest is finally, at long last settled and stable with finishing a very difficult apprenticeship at the end of this year. Passed their driving test after 2 fails so us sbout to enjoy the freedom that brings.
Will be earning really good money.

My new job means a new car, so I’ve ordered a lovely new car.
Got big plans now I’m earning good money to do things on the house.

Keep pinching myself. Can’t believe my luck.

Smile

Finishing my Masters in May, starting a new career in social work after that. So excited for it!
