What would your ebay search terms be?

I could always wear my actual specs, but they're bright red 🤣

Cosplay specs?

Try round costume glasses.

Reading glasses (either with plain glass or pop out the lenses). Often to be found in poundshops as well as on eBay.

If you're trying to do this as inexpensively as possible, just search in eyewear/vision care for the type of frames you want, e.g. 'oval silver frames' and order by price, low-high. There are cheapie new ones and also used frames that people sell for re-glazing (but you could simply remove any prescription lenses yourself). If you want plain lenses there are lots of ex-display frames on there.

I never thought about popping lenses out of frames - my old ones are probably more suited to Professor McGonnagal so I'll see how easy it is to remove the lenses tomorrow! Saved a quid or two there...much appreciated!

Now to find the bits to fix the hat from when dd2 wore it last...

If you google there are loads of articles/videos showing how to pop spectacle lenses out. Hope the costume is a success!

Thanks @ClariceQuiff! It's a few years old & just needs a couple of minor repairs (new feathers & possibly buttons moved lower to fit me better) I think.

I was going down an entirely different road but my class colleagues are going to be Dobby and Hagrid, so I may as well re-use this one :)
