Hi all

It's my first ever post here and am at a bit of a low point. Need some happy-end stories please.

I've had 3 miscarriages (all around 5 weeks) and no children. Am currently pregnant over 5 weeks and on 400mg cyclogest pessaries twice a day.

No bleeding, but my HCGs aren't looking good.

On Monday 21 Feb - 121
Wednesday 23 Feb - 148

Doctor said 'pregnancy may not be going well'. We are totally heartbroken with my husband and now expect the worse (ectopic? 'just' another miscarriage?).

Did anyone have a successful pregnancy with low, slow HCGs?

Love
X

Hi Grace,

How did this go for you? We’ve just had the same news today, 230 to 290 :(

Sorry for slow response - mine ended in a miscarriage. How did yours go?

My little boy was born perfectly healthy 4 months ago. They never could explain the HCG to me so I have no idea why it was so slow. Just goes to show that there are always exceptions to the rule ❤️

Hi @whisk50 wow that is amazing! Can you remember what your numbers were and what the process was? I’m worried they could treat me as ectopic when it may not be.

So it went like this…

Test 1: 230
Test 2: 270 (48 hours later - they told us here that it was non viable and to expect miscarriage)
Test 3: 390 (24 hours later, now they were convinced ectopic)
Test 4: 960 (48 hours later, they saw a tiny sac on the screen in the right place)

From that point onwards we were treated like a normal pregnancy. I should add that we had ten days of solid bleeding from our first positive test, so I think it was possibly a twin but there’s no way to ever prove it :/

Thanks so much you’ve provided a glimmer of hope, although your still increased slightly more than mine. I’ve had 2 tests so far 4 days apart, 167 and 288 😥
