Need help identifying a song.

Please help, it's driving me nuts.

It was released around 2007/2008. It was a dreamy ballardy type song, sung by a woman - only lyric I can remember is "and then the rain came down". Sounded like it should have been a summer song, but was released in the spring.

I have searched and searched Google, read through top 100 lists etc, cannot find it at all!

Please, oh wise Mumsnetters, help me out?

I've found this from 2008 - Beth Rowley "When the rains came" ?!

Good shout, but no dice on either I'm afraid.

The first song that sprung to mind for me was London Rain by Heather Nova.

It's older than the period you mentioned and the lyric isn't quite the same but I've been on these threads before and sometimes it does turn out to be something you've slightly misremembered so just throwing it out there as an option!

Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" has the lyrics... "And when the rain would fall down". Could it be that?

There’s a song from then called Two Tears by Eliza Carthy. It has lyrics like that.

The first song that popped into my mind was ‘Here comes the rain again’, by the Eurythmics. 1983 though, just thought I’d post in case there was a remix or something similar.
