Can it be done?

Or is that not actually a thing?

In theory you can sue someone for defamation (libel or slander) but it is incredibly expensive and a specialist area of law. I think it may have to go to the High Court.

I think you can ask a solicitor to write a letter before proceedings, but again this has to be done by someone with the knowledge of this area of the law.

Cease and desist letter? Might be enough to make them stop.

Almost sent one to our neighbour…. He’s like Pinocchio, can’t help himself from telling whoppers. You can sue for slander but you’d need a fair bit of cash to throw at it.
