returning items bought online

Yet again I have to return something, and there is no returns label included in the parcel, do companies do this to make it awkward for us, hoping we will give up and keep the bloody thing.
worst one yet was Skagen (Fossil), finally got through on the phone, asked for a label to be emailed to me, so I could send it onto husband to print off at work. (thus i'm not able to hide purchases from him). Yes I know, get a printer for home, but why do they assume everyone has one.
No email. no label
then today Free People have joined my list, to never buy from again

I prefer the option to process the return online, receive a qr code and print the returns label at the local co-op. It feel like the future and must be better for the environment.

Agree with pp. I’ve not found it difficult as every time I’ve had this situation, the printing is done in the collect plus or Hermes return place

The ‘no label in the parcel’ thing annoys me as well. The retailers pretend that it is about being green and saving paper. Is it bollocks. They want to make it difficult for you to return stuff.

CorrBlimeyGG · 22/02/2022 18:28

You can generate a label online for Skagen, no need to call them. Pretty sure Free People are the same.

CorrBlimeyGG · 22/02/2022 18:30

Yes, Free People let you get a qr code or print a label online.

Is the retailer the problem here?

tootiredtobother · 22/02/2022 18:58

I've just checked and you can get a QR code.

You don’t usually need a printer, just take the QR code in to the shop with the parcel & they print it there for you
