Hi guys! New to mumsnet but have been lurking the past couple of months reading all of your lovely advice on various subjects! Was just looking for some words of wisdom. My little boy is 14 weeks old, was 9 weeks early so he's 5 weeks corrected age. He's so settled and content during the day. The only time I hear a peep out of him is when he wants fed but around about dinner time every single night he just screams and screams for 2 to 3 hours and nothing will settle him. Me and My husband have been eating dinner separately for weeks now because one of us has to hold him while the other eats. I initially thought it was colic so we've been using colief drops for a week and a half now but they've not made any difference at all. I just wondered if anyone knows what this could be or is it just a phase that we'll have to ride out?

You poor thing! It’s so stressful isn’t it. It’s really common for babies to have a witching hour (hours). We say ‘colic’ but colic isn’t a thing. It’s not a diagnosis. It’s just a term we all use to describe this intense few hours of crying (usually the same time) every night.

Feed him wind him. Change him. Cuddle him. Ride it out but will end I promise x

Ps I know everyone will hate me for saying colic isn’t a thing. But it’s not.
