How do I pay rent?

Hi I'm currently claiming universal credit.
This gets paid in arrears.
I've just moved into a housing association property and they want my rent paid in advance.
The problem is my UC gets paid in arrears
My UC covers my full rent but there's no way I can pay 2 months rent out of 1 payment.
How am I meant to do that?
Will they take this into consideration?

I looked this up. If you have been receiving UC for six months or more you might get an advance payment towards your rent.

I can't afford to pay back any advances
I have £320 a month to live on (bills food etc ) that's how paying another months rent is hard.

I work for a HA, contact your new HA and speak to them, you won’t be the first person in this position. They should have a process in place

Look at applying for a Discretionary Housing Payment from your local council.
