Bottle and dad refuser

DS2 is nearly 8 weeks old. He happily took a bottle in the first week as a top up because my milk took 7 days to come in. He was a messy eater with a bad latch, so after some quick investigation he got his tongue tie dealt with.

He slowly got worse and worse on the bottle and is now EBF, through no choice of mine!

I’ve tried pumped milk as well as different brands of formula - it’s not that.

I’ve tried three different bottles/tests (tommee tippee, mam, medela) - nothing.

Different positions. Waited until hungry but not apoplectic.

The problem is, he’s a 13lb baby already and I just can’t keep up with his demand. He feeds ALL the time. If he’s awake, he’ll feed every 40 mins.

The new problem in the last fortnight is that he’s now also refusing his dad. He can’t be comforted by him, he just wants me. He is literally that baby from the dinosaurs (not the mama!)

I can tell the difference between feeding for hunger and feeding for comfort, and I’d love for him to get something from his dad who is desperate to be of use to him. All my husband can do is some obligatory nappy changes.

I’m at my wits end, I’m beyond exhausted from 8 weeks of cluster feeding. I’m a husk.

Has anyone got any advice for reversing this situation?
