Would it be ok to swim in the sea without sanitary protection?
(Got caught out abroad and can't use tampons)

I'd just be worried about how heavy I was and it running down my leg getting out.

Yes. As long as you're ok drying off afterwards quickly and changing into clothes. You'll still have a period while you're swimming, but hopefully depending on how heavy it is it wouldn't show much.

I think it's fine. It's getting out that would worry me, but have your towel at the ready!
