I'm just thinking about going up to get dressed. I'm actually quite comfy here, but I'm a bit bored of scrolling now.

There are last night's pots to wash (Saturday night is lazy night!), some washing to do when I locate the laundry basket - suspect dd2 used it as a makeshift table for something or other, & general prep for back to work tomorrow after the week off.

Dd2 has maths homework to finish, so we'll do that. And we could do with a nip to asda since we didn't get there yesterday but it's raining so might just nip to the shop round the corner for washing up liquid, and go tomorrow instead 🤦‍♀️

Hopefully a fairly relaxed day of pottering/crochet for me!

I'm doing an early ish tea of roast chicken. & maybe a pudding but not sure what yet.

What about all of you? :)

Morning! Not sure, it's a bit blowy outside again in the North east. I opened my back door and it attacked me. So maybe just stay in make a chocolate cake for after today's roast pork dinner. See if the dc fancy playing a game with me but they prefer being online with their friends these days .

But if housework to do and uniforms to get ready. Just a usual Sunday minus the football as its been cancelled due to weather .

We’re in IKEA building hell, bought my DD a new loft bed thing, so clearing out her room, building the furniture and reinstating the room to useful condition. I already want to kill people.

lucysmam · 20/02/2022 09:46

@Jellycatspyjamas I don't envy you one bit 🤣

We are taking eldest DD for a reccy of Liverpool as she is going to uni there in September. I'm going to be the tour guide as my mum's family are originally Liverpool based. Oh and DD are more Manchester-centric so it will be nice for me to show them the sites!

We were originally going to be getting the train but are reluctant incase of cancellations, so car it is. Looking at the forecast I don't think I'll bother doing anything special with my hair!

Dh is in the bath and I’m on the sofa with a sleeping dog on my lap

Going to pop to Lidl shortly for a few bits
Will pick dd up at 2.00 come home and have dinner then go to see my mum as it’s her birthday tomorrow
No plans for tonight Dh is working later so will catch up on some tv and get ready for the week

I have, for once, no children in my house, so I'm going out to my art shed to customise some shoes and a jacket for my teenagers upcoming birthday. Art is my favourite thing to do so I'm very happy today.

lucysmam · 20/02/2022 11:03

Ooh @ABCeasyasdohrayme that sounds a fun way to spend the day! Will you come back and show us, later on?

Of course. I'm going for Rocky Horror shoes and Phantom of the Opera jacket. Can't wait to see her face when she gets them.

We are having a lovely morning and had a long lie in.
Dh has had breakfast with dfil and dd1 stayed over last night as our weekend with extended family was postponed due to the storm so we had a good catch up and takeaway.
This morning I've been prepping a roast for us with magic radio on to keep me amused while all three dd's chill and get ready for the week.
Dd1 will head home late afternoon I think and Dd3 back to school and gcse countdown tomorrow but thankfully she seems quite chilled.
Wine and a movie tonight to end half term off nicely!

vinoandbrie · 20/02/2022 11:58

Last day of half term here, friend over to play so I’ve brought them all to the trampoline park. Home, light lunch, pottering about, finish the washing, roast for tonight.

Wait, just as I’m typing this thinking how chilled is this, I’ve remembered - youngest DD has to do a PowerPoint for tomorrow. Why do I always leave things like this to the last day of the holidays? Why do teachers set homework that they know parents will end up having to do most of? Grumble.

autienotnaughty · 20/02/2022 12:25

Been cinema and now at soft play with dc as wanted to get out of house for a bit. Weirdly feeling guilty as this is third soft play this week. As it was half term last week and two sets of friends invited us to soft plays . But weather is appalling so park/walk was not an option.

MrsDThomas · 20/02/2022 13:23

Been to the beach for a walk. Very stormy, but im used to it. Prefer it to s hot day when the visitors are here. Glass of wine now and a roast dinner. Feeling fresh and alive!

Vapeyvapevape · 20/02/2022 13:26

I had a spontaneous couple of hours gardening in the wind and rain, my neighbour thinks I'm mad !

EsmeeMerlin · 20/02/2022 13:29

I cleaned all of upstairs this morning before taking my two children to church. We are now back and sat having lunch before I kick them upstairs to play in their bedroom while I tackle downstairs. We were away at the beginning of half term and then promptly had stomach flu so our house needs a real deep clean and tidy today.

Jellycatspyjamas · 20/02/2022 13:40

@Jellycatspyjamas I don't envy you one bit 🤣

It’s mildly less painful than dragging two kids round IKEA yesterday afternoon buying the bloody thing.
