Let me take you back.....

But yesterday 😮😮😮

So where I use to live each summer they did some club. They did trips, workshops just a lot of different things.

I remember I went bike riding and I chatting to this boy. Then I remember I did this drama workshop and I was really shy child/teen. So quiet and reserved and acting out in front of everyone was bad enough but with this boy from bike riding it was embarrassing.

So I remember having a huge crush on this boy I never knew him that well but I knew his name.
We never went to the same school in fact we wasn't even friends or anything else. I just had those couple of moment with a stranger.

I have recently switched to sky and getting into Netflix.
So I decided to watch this series as it really looked good. I saw this actor and said this looks like so and so from this area. The boy I had a crush on who I was embarrassed about doing a scene with in this drama workshop.
So I continued watching this series and couldn't shake this feeling that it was him so needed confirmation. I looked at his on screen name and real name. I only knew his first name so it was him. I was shocked and I said to my husband I know this guy.
Then I looked him up and he an actor now. I am so like shocked. Well how could I be when I went to that drama workshop all them years ago.
Many crazy things like this happen to me.

I went to school with someone who is now famous photographer (so famous I had to Google, but apparently up there in social media type terms), also someone who is a well known stand up comedian.

My friend is in the cinched advert that is shown at the start of a tv show at the moment. I'm dead proud.
(He's done a lot of far more amazing work, but it's lovely to see him on telly all the time).

People are harsh! It is a surprise when you make a link like that.

Someone I was at university with is now a fairly well known public figure. In some ways I’m not surprised as she was always very articulate and smart. However she was also incredibly puffed full of her own self importance and arrogant and used to steal. So I do cringe when she’s touted as a role model for young people. Last I heard she was trying unsuccessfully to become a singer so I guess she wanted to be ‘famous.’

Thanks for sharing you know someone who is a public figure.

It's actually amazing seeing him doing so well.
I never knew he been in so many things too. Very happy and excited to see what he does next.

I actually don't care about these miserable people.
They got issues. Have a good day

It's when you sit there watching TV and you don't even know they act and you see their face. I am like how didn't I know.

We're not being miserable.. Just a slightly weirdly long unnecessary backstory. You could have just said 'nice surprise, saw X on TV, he was an old crush of mine. Anyone else got tenuous famous people links?' 😁

It's not a negative positive it's a happy post. I am excited and very happy to know they are an actor. Happy to see people doing well in life in a career they worked hard for.
Another person I can't wait to see what they do next.

Sorry you’ve had some unkind responses OP.

I understand you were probably shocked to see someone from your past if you weren’t expecting to. It’s probably brought back lots of memories for you.

I don’t know anyone who is now famous but I think I’d be surprised too if turned the tv on one day and saw an old school friend !

You only told off for drip feeding if its actually relevant info though. Shall I explain exactly how I know each of the 5 different Harry Potter extras? Or the type of shop I was working in when I served Steve Davies? No. Cos its not relevant. Anyway, hey ho. Happy Sunday peeps x

Don't worry some people got serious issues. I will pray for these people they need it.

I wasn't expecting it but a great surprise and very exciting.

I heard someone who I went to primary school with is a public and it wasn't like I turned the TV on they are in a movie or series. It was different I was like okay to person who told me.

I also dated a guy who an African artist. I have spoken to public figure and met famous people myself but when you didn't know it's oh my didn't see that coming but it's good, amazing and all different feelings. For me it's about the past memories flooding back. I just feel happy today.

My friend in primary is now on Coronation Street! Gave me a buzz watching him!!
All my dc think it's great!! Also a top football player who hosts a show went also. Ds's were well chuffed I knew him!!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to win this game with my stories! I stood behind Caron Keating in a queue in C&A in Belfast. I also saw James Nesbitt walking down the street in Coleraine and Paul Rankin spoke to me in his restaurant. I win, yes? 😂

I was given a fountain pen by Basil Brush's original "handler and voice". He was a friend of my DM. I was just starting secondary school (it won't be long before I retire now!)
I was in the M&S food hall queue with Jim Moir (too shy to speak to him!)
I was also in a lift with Des Lymond.

My cousin is an actor who used to be on a very well know UK soap and many TV drama series, my mum used to be an actress in her younger days, mostly theatre. OH's friend from school is a theatre and movie actor, oh and my friend's sister is a well known successful YouTuber. These famous people were all normal and mixed with us muggles at some point (I do still name drop sometimes though 🙈)

Ooh and if we're talking about celebs we've seen, I've been to LA quite a few times which is awesome for celeb spotting! I went to the premiere of Leathal Weapon 4 and saw all the cast walking down the red carpet, plus Wesley Snipes and Halle Berry. Saw Harrison Ford filming Hollywood Homicide, Rob Lowe filming the West Wing and the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer at a CD signing of the Musical episode. I swear I was on a constant celebrity high whenever I was there! Proper Fangeek 🤣

Some people need to praying for as if they carry on with this attitude it won't get them far in life.

It's crazy when it's a surprise out the blue thing because you didn't know.
