Catan board game

Can anyone tell me which Catan game do I need to start off with please? From a quick look online, it looks like there are several games... 🤔

This is the basic game. You can add expansions if you want to play with more players.

There is also a 2 player card game which I’ve got but not played yet so can’t say if it’s any good.
