Good morning all! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just enjoying my first brew in silence, as always. The only sound is the fridge humming to itself & occasional bird outside.

I'm going to put the washer on, in a minute, and wash last night's tea cups.

I want to nip into town for some yarn for a couple of amigurumi dinosaurs for a friends dc so am waiting for the girls to get up & decide whether they want to come or not.

I think dd2 will want to stay here with thier dad & dd1 will come with me. We'll see 🤷‍♀️

We could do with a nip to Asda too but might do that tomorrow.

Dd2 has a bit of maths homework to finish so I'll get her to bring that down later and do it while I do some reading for work.

Tonight, I plan to start the dinosaurs & watch another couple of episodes of Glee. The girls want to stay up & watch something Minecraft related.

We're having pork loin steaks with garlic & parmesan roast potatoes, and salad, for tea 😋 I'll have a glass or two of wine with mine.

No usual uniform washing to do as was done over half term yay!

I've nipped into the village got a few errands to do, parcels to post, need to go to butcher's to get mince for tonight etc. Currently sat in a cafe watching the snow fall!

This afternoon we are off to see family for a couple of hours. Home for dinner I'm making lasagne. Then when children are asleep DH and I are going to enjoy a glass of red and catch up in call the midwife have missed a few weeks of it

Good morning. Started today with a long dog walk, needed as DDog didn't really get enough exercise yesterday with the weather conditions.

I've washed up & put a wash on, about to give DS a nudge & warm some croissants for breakfast.

We are hoping to go to London on Monday for a few days (half term) so I still have an eye on the weather forecast as travelling by train. A huge pile of ironing needs tackling this afternoon.

DH is working but will make chicken & chorizo with pasta this evening, looking forward to the BBC4 series The missing this evening - harrowing but very good.

Going to Brent Cross to look for several things including some job interview clothes - had a good phone interview yesterday so am hopeful I'll have face to face next week, but haven't been for job interview for 9 years. Even if I don't get this one, I'll be applying for other roles so will need one way or another - am working currently but don't really have anything interviewy.

I'm still in PJs

I want to wash our bedding today. DH needs to fix the damage Eunice did to our fence, and go up in the roof to put some bits away and retrieve a suitcase.

I then need to pack for DD9's school residential trip next week.

Dinner is in the slow cooker at least so I dont need to think about that.

I'm back to work on Monday after a month off due to a couple of family bereavements, and I imagine it'll be manic trying to catch up on my workload, so I'm going to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Trying to stay sane while nursing DH and running around after a mischievous almost 2 year old and an 8 month old! I have a mountain of washing to do that can't wait, a chicken run to repair as the buggers keep escaping, a fence to put back into some kind of upright position, fallen branches to gather up and a climbing frame to mend. I was up early to watch the Curling, have two washes on the line and have done housework. Just having a coffee and shortbread before doing upstairs. Eggy bread and bacon for lunch. Lazy afternoon planned, DH will do the ironing when watching Superman and Lois. Toad in the hole, mash, carrots and cabbage (and onion gravy) for dinner. DD is out with her pals tonight.
We’ll watch a film, watched Aliens last Sat (Sigourney Weaver is my long time girl crush), so might try Aliens 3 tonight (not sure it’s called that but hey 😁). Oh and we put a fence panel back up.

I was up very early for work. Just gone 1pm here and I’m now home, need to get some lunch and call my brother. Might take a nap if I can fall asleep, this week has been exhausting.

I have washing to put away this afternoon, some ironing, need to sort through parcel returns and renew my travel insurance. Will also spend a couple of hours doing work admin - book flights, reply to emails, applications and check on some projects.

It’s Netflix tonight - with chilli cheese nuggets and ice cream, if I can be bothered to go to the corner shop as my supply of Ben and Jerry’s is long gone.

Another 7am work start tomorrow but I don’t mind too much as we’re working with pre-schoolers this weekend and they're so sweet!

We're all still in pjs. DH is watching the end of the curling.

After he will take DS2 to the supermarket and I'll persuade DS1 to get off roblox and come to the velodrome with me (I'll jog, DS1 will cycle).

Heavy rain predicted for the afternoon, so I might do some baking if DS2 naps at a convenient time.

After you persaude DS to get off roblox would you mind posting tips?

Snowing here! Going out for late lunch with friends about 4

Sort out our little holiday home, we lost quite a few tiles last night, a window was also smashed, not a huge issue in itself, but loads of leaves, twigs etc have blown in so it was a huge mess. Luckily it was the living area that has a stone floor, so no glass, bits of leaf etc stuck in a carpet.

This afternoon we’re making pizzas and we’re going to watch Encanto for the 127th time.

Was meant to be going out for the day but the trains were all cancelled due to trees on the line. Looks like they might run some soon but the weathers a bit grim and I’m worried about getting back later if it carries on and they get cancelled again.

So currently just laid on the bed with the cats listening to the wind and feeling annoyed.

Currently lying in front of a fire watching some bobsleigh action. I’m so cosy under a duvet too.
Not much for me today, officially I can end isolation today but I’m still feeling a bit shit and the weather is atrocious so I’m not going anywhere.
Dh is in and out doing stuff.
Dds are currently tidying their rooms (this nearly made me collapse in shock!), ds is doing some kind of puzzle book in his room. He’s also isolating - just in time for half term!!!

CrimeaChimera I just put up with the moaning/sulking and get us ready tbh. Luckily as soon as DS1 is outdoors he's usually happy again.

I was taking delivery of a new washing machine, but someone has crashed into the truck.

It might arrive before 10pm, or it could be tomorrow.

Three weeks of slogging back and forth to the launderette!

We had a lie in then started clearing the tree in the garden that fell in the storm .
Dd2 and I had a good clean up while dh attacked the tree with a hand saw but has admitted defeat and will borrow a chainsaw from DBIL next week.

Bacon sandwiches all round afterwards and dd3 has been revising for exams.

Dd1 is on her way over for a Chinese tonight as we were meant to be away with extended family this weekend but it's been postponed for the weather.
Dd1 is staying over and we will have a lovely family evening with games and Prosecco with our takeaway.

Roast lunch tomorrow then dd1 will head home and we will chill before another new week and dd3 back to school.

Had a lazy morning them popped to shops for some bits(more wine)
Ds1 gone to his friends,dd just about to head out with her friends. Ds2 fed up and bored as didnt get picked for football and his friendship group have matured quicker than him so he is at a bit of a loss.

Just home from the movie, turned out to be quite entertaining but I have a bit of a thing for Tom Holland - in an I want to be his mum sort of way not a creepy old cougar sort of way.

Don't have to go back out so now trying to decide between red, white or pink for wine.
