Overeating 13 month old

Hi mums,

My 13 month old is a very hungry baby. He eats incredibly quickly and I am a little concerned that he overeats. He is crawling and pulling himself up on furniture but not yet walking. When he sees food he moans until it’s in reach!

I see from NHS recommendations that he over consumes meat (1-1.5 tablespoons is the recommendation; I’d estimate my bolognaise is closer to at least a 1/2 cup, though mixed with tomatoes and veg)

His porridge portion is also 1/2 a cup of oats plus 1/2 cup of milk. I’ve attempted to give him smaller portions but he lets me know if it doesn’t fill the hole!

Does anyone else have a similar experience with their LO?

He has always been a hungry lad. Fairly long baby and likely to be tall like his dad (6’3). I’d like to assume it’s his size but when he consumes the same amount of porridge and bolognaise as me I start to worry!

Rough daily intake below:

Breakfast
120ml milk

2 egg omelette with a sprinkle of cheese or spinach and tomato (usually finishes 3/4-all of omelette)
1 kiwi

Snack
Greek yoghurt pot 120g

Lunch
3/4- 1 cup Bolognaise/ mousakka/ bean stew/ cottage pie etc

Snack
1/4 Cucumber and at least 1/4 avocado

Dinner
1/2 cup oats 1/2 cup whole milk 1/2 banana and 3 cherries

I’d be grateful for any advice!
