Charlotte Dawson diet

PeacheyPeach · 17/02/2022 12:14

I need to lose weight I've put so much on over the past few months 😩
I've noticed that Charlotte Dawson (instagrammer) has a diet plan out and has lost so much weight on it. Has anyone else started following it and can see results or is it all a clever marketing plan to suck the likes of me in 😄

As a rule of thumb, I never believe any reality stars diet claims or nutritional advice.

This.

You have absolutely no idea if that's the plan she actually did.

PeacheyPeach · 17/02/2022 12:51

I know. It seems a bit to good to be true doesn't it. Guess I'm just after a quick fix!!

Agree with this also...its all a big money making scheme. But does anyone know how Martine McCutcheon lost weight...she looks very slender now.
Kimexela · 17/02/2022 12:52

Try slimming world, I've lost 2 stone in 8 weeks. You can actually eat on it too.

TurdCrapley · 17/02/2022 12:55

Look up Alex Light on Instagram, she put up a really good post saying why these are always a scam.

Nortd · 17/02/2022 12:55

All these influencer/celebrities never follow the diets they push and quick fixes often don't stick.

Chloemol · 17/02/2022 13:19

Fad diet I would say

Just eat less and the right things and do exercise

LizBennet · 17/02/2022 13:36

Absolute shyster.

MushroomHunter · 17/02/2022 14:04

The one persons diet I wouldn’t follow would be hers. See looks amazing but I don’t think it was all down to her diet plan.

Just had a look and I don't think she did an actual post, it was just stories because Charlotte kicked off at her. But she was talking about celebs bringing out these diet/fitness plans generally and saying that they're setting you up for unrealistic expectations. They will have treated it like a job to lose weight and most people can't do that. They also bring them out at the typical times of the year that people will feel like they want to lose weight, it's all marketing bollocks.

It's all just crap and they're making money off your insecurities and fuelling that fire really, by making you think you need to lose weight.

If you want to feel healthier, try to eat as well as you can, move your body more(even just a walk a day) and drink water. You're probably absolutely fine though!

Alex is brilliant at talking about this stuff, much better than I can explain it!

PeacheyPeach · 17/02/2022 17:05

Yes I think I need to just concentrate on cutting out all the junk and just exercise 😅 I've never been as big as I am now and it's pretty depressing 😕

I do wish celebrities would stay in their lane. I gained about three stone when I developed a mobility-impairing condition. Then another stone during lockdown. I didn’t make any inroads until I saw a proper dietitian who properly calculated my daily calorific requirement and adapted her recommendations to my particular circumstances. It’s coming off at about 1kg a week now.

PeacheyPeach · 17/02/2022 17:14

@thoosa aww Well done. You left it to the professionals and it's working that's great!!

I wish I’d gone sooner. I was throwing all my money at physios like a numpty.

AnybodyAnywhere · 17/02/2022 17:28

I joined Nutracheck, used it every day to honestly log calories and stay within limits. I gave up sugar and refined carbs and haven’t felt hungry, my body is working well and I feel marvellous.

So far I’ve lost 2 stone in 11 weeks…from 15st to 13st (still have a way to go!). What’s surprising is that I’m 67…an age when losing weight is difficult.

Don’t bother with ‘celebrity’ diets etc, just cut calories and eat healthily and you’ll lose weight.

Xiaoxiong · 17/02/2022 17:35

Agree with everyone else - cut your calories, focus on nutrition, drink water, move more and if you need willpower read Eating Less by Gilian Riley - it's great and v sensible about the "headology" of it all Grin

Perfect28 · 17/02/2022 17:37

You know the only way to loose weight is eat less and move more.

WeAreTheHeroes · 17/02/2022 17:41

Actually it's just fewer calories in than out that will make lose weight, but exercise will help you feel better and is beneficial.

CollagenLady · 17/02/2022 17:50

@PeacheyPeach

Check out the Human Being Diet.

It's not really a diet as such but more of a food plan and hormone reset that you lose weight as an added bonus. It's the only thing that works for me but it does require discipline!!

Buy the book and read it twice, it's really important to understand the reasons behind it. It's very structured and straightforward to follow, the hardest part for me is killing off my sugar monster!!! When I fall off the plan I really notice the difference (not in a good way).

You can see the reviews on Amazon.

Good luck with whatever route you go

PeacheyPeach · 18/02/2022 09:55

Thanks everyone for your support. Will take a look at the book recommendations also.
I know I need to move more and eat (a lot!) Less, think the winter just makes me want to hibernate so the ideal thing is to move somewhere warm!!

Martine McCutcheon did 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan. Good for a quick fix. Michael Mosley Fast 800 good for proper food and no stupid food shaming like Slimming World.
