I don't she's got megabucks. He's paid an undisclosed sum to her victims' charity and has possibly paid her costs.
It would be very interesting to know whether he his team has pushed for a NDA, though.

Any book deal would be extremely lucrative and very damning.

From what I can gather, she has got money from the settlement. He is also making a donation to charity for affected victims on top of the settlement.

Ah... let's see what the fallout is then.
I strongly suspect this might all be swept under a carpet.

It's disappointing if she has settled on an agreement which means he isn't confessing.

I would have preferred this to have been discussed in court, but given how stressful a court process can be for anyone, not wholly surprised.

All be forgotten in months if not weeks and his status will probably be reinstated.

Jackofallsorts · 15/02/2022 19:03

I've sort of a inside line on this (via the US).

Apparently her case is not as clear cut as first thought and it's she who pushed for settlement (rather than go to Court).

It's because they didn't have the original of the photo with his arm around here, just a copy. His lawyers demanded a copy. Lots of victim shaming going on on social media.

jollygreenpea · 15/02/2022 19:15

As she seemed so keen to go to court I did wonder if her legal team advised against it, other wise she could have got no money and a huge bill for costs? not sure how it works in USA.

I don't think he will be able to come back from this, some people have long memories.

Why is paying money to people in order for them not to testify against you in a legal proceeding not illegal? I simply do not understand why this is ok.
