Driving licence help!

I've received a letter saying my driving licence needs to be updated as its been 10 years.

The online option links to your passport so it can use the photo. However, my passport expired during covid and I haven't got round to renewing as holidays seemed so far away!

Does anyone know how I can renew my licence without a valid passport please?

Post Office can do this for you, look online for one which can take the photo and do all the paperwork. It costs a bit more but I found it really easy and got my licence back in 10 days.

Thank you! I went to the post office this morning but the lady was new and couldn't really help! She just gave me a form to complete and send via post rather than do online. Just very weary about doing it via post as I've heard horrendous stories about DVLA backlogs!

If you can, go to the nearest post office to you who deals with fast track passports and photo driving licences. I had to travel as my local post office doesn’t provide this service.

My passport was really out of date too. Got them both done and both back super quickly.
