Can anyone recommend a very effective deodorant for excessive sweating?

18 year old DD sweats heavily and our normal roll on from Aldi is not enough.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Driclor, you get it from the chemist, it is very effective

I advise this but you need to be really careful with it. Read instructions and don't over it.

Mitchum 48 hour protection is really good

Driclor.
When starting to use it, go easy - a couple of rolls only. It stings at first. Do not shave pits for a couple of days beforehand! Once she's been using it a couple of weeks, start to cut down the frequency slowly. You can get it down to one use every couple of weeks or so eventually, and not a drop of sweat. Normal deodorant in between just so you feel fresh!
She might find that when she's exercising or very hot that she sweats more in other places like her face, back etc. It doesn't smell bad there though so this may be better for her!

I’d second mitchum roll on.

SweatyBetty1234 · 14/02/2022 18:18

Thanks all. That's really helpful!

Mitchum, but giver serious thought to Botox - it’s an absolute miracle for underarms. I had it at her age (maybe 20, but similar) and it changed my life. Only needed it once - although it doesn’t last forever I never went back to sweating through deodorant.

ilovespinach · 14/02/2022 18:43

The Sure cream in a box.

Phineyj · 14/02/2022 18:44

Mitcham unscented. Beloved of teachers, especially those who wear a lot of synthetics!

Ourlady · 14/02/2022 18:47

Sure maximum protection is good and on offer at Superdrug at the minute for 3.99 saving a pound.
The best I have found is Secret Clinical strength, I think it’s American and it costs a fortune on Amazon but it’s really really good. I keep mine for special occasions.

I've used this and its really good. But you have to be really really careful with it. Just a quick dab under each armpit before going to bed is plenty. More that that is really quite painful, don't use it after shaving and stop if it causes irritation. I also like Sure Maximum Protection, it's a cream and you put it on night or day but it a lot gentler and still very effective.

Driclor changed my life as a teenager. I'd take the stinging over the damp patches on my clothes any day. Now I use it about once every two weeks and it keeps it under control.

Never ever shave and then put it on though.

I sweat through sure etc, but the Mitchum roll on, then spray on top, works great.

SweatyBetty1234 · 14/02/2022 19:32

Thanks for the additional ideas!

I use perspirex, but again it nips on freshly shaved armpits

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 14/02/2022 19:55

Also try Sage tea. It tastes vile and I have no idea how or why it works but it does.

BoodleBug51 · 14/02/2022 19:57

Trust is a really gentle cream that removes any odour rather than stopping sweat. I use this every few days in the evening, and then just add a squirt of something like Sure in the morning.

Keeps me as dry as a bone, and I'm a very serious sweaty betty normally. I only tried it after a thread on here - I found all the ones mentioned above really harsh and gave me awful skin problems.

Perspirex

notawittyname1954 · 15/02/2022 00:06

I found Mitchum great. Driclor is very strong and can make the skin very sore

mrsmacmc · 15/02/2022 00:13

Nivea ultra protect either spray or roll on (it's got an orange design on the packaging) Superdrug often have it on offer

lap90 · 15/02/2022 06:04

Also agree with Mitchum! Only deodorant I use!

Roselilly36 · 15/02/2022 06:07

Dove max strength the one in the box, more expensive but it really works and smells lovely.

Carbiesdreamhouse · 15/02/2022 06:12

My DH started sweating a lot this year. He's had to take a multi pronged approach. First he has started washing his underarms with soap. Then he's had to make sure all his tops go in the wash with biological washing powder on a hot hygeine cycle. He's had to up his water intake a lot too - this seems to help a lot, and he uses a loreal 48 hour spray. All of that combined seems to help. The spray on its own wasn't great!

TheTeenageYears · 15/02/2022 06:26

Look into Botox - it can cure excessive sweating

Diqgeneration · 15/02/2022 09:05

Odaban- someone recommended it on here and it worked! Driclor makes you really itchy so not for me
