Flattering jeans

I’m a typical, slightly overweight woman in her early fifties, looking for advice on where to buy a flattering pair of jeans?

I find that 100% cotton jeans much better than those with Lycra / elastane in them. What height are you?

I’m 5’7, and I think that’s a good point. My current ones are stretchy and cling in all the wrong places!

I’ve given’s up on the whole concept of flattering jeans (I have a fat belly, skinny bum and decent legs) and wear £15 m and s jeggings instead.

I think all you can do is try on loads and buy the ones that make you feel happy. I am a fan of the M&S Lily slim jeans but they have a huge range, I would go into a big M&S and bring in every shape and colour into the fitting room and block out a good 30 mins trying loads on. Be willing to try on a size up or down as well as sometimes the sizing is inconsistent (not just M&S, all labels).

I'm just about to order 3 pairs in different sizes and shades of Levi's 501s to try on as well, 100% cotton - if they suit, then I will keep one.

It's a faff, jeans, but worth it when I find a good pair because I wear them daily.

Good height for high waisted 100% cotton! I got some cheap ones from Boohoo(!!) which are great.
