For me it is Ski Sunday.

I don’t ski, yet I loved this show and this tune.

Anyone else fancy a musical trio down memory lane?

Why don’t you go and do something less bitingninstead? Sitting at home, watching TV, turn it off, it’s no good for me, Whyyyyyyyyydontyou?

They filmed it in venues across the UK. I was fascinated by the northern Irish accents.

The antiques roadshow gives me cold shivers, just reminds me of it being Sunday evening and almost time to go back to school.

The theme tune for Rainbow makes me really nostalgic, and chock a block, Bagpuss, Magic Roundabout... little house on the prairie! Oh and Sons and Daughters

Bagadverts · 13/02/2022 08:54

So many of these. Also the original version of the Neighbours tune.

JessCat75 · 13/02/2022 08:56

Oh and The Sullivans, my Mum used to watch every day, I remember it so it must have been before I'd even started school.

illyawasthebest · 13/02/2022 09:00

The Man from UNCLE! We loved it.

I think it was shown at 6.30pm following Captain Scarlet at 6pm, and I remember the outrage we felt whenever something like cricket overran and they cancelled the broadcast.

Amazingly awful show in retrospect, I have name changed in honour of it Grin

Oh .. so many!

Bagpuss
Trumpton
Camberwell Green
Magic Roundabout
Ivor the Engine
Swap Shop (01 811 8055)
Grange Hill
Dallas
Antiques Roadshow
Top of the Pops

I've always had this odd thing where music is intrinsically linked with my memory. If I hear a song, I can immediately place myself in a certain room, wearing certain clothes, feeling certain emotions .. and even the weather. For example, the song 'love is in the air' is a holiday in the Isle of Wight, on a blue nylon hammock in the sunshine with green and orange tictacs. I was 8.

I had completely forgotten about The Sullivans. Wasn't it shown around lunchtime on weekdays? I remember my mum watching that.
tapdancingmum · 13/02/2022 09:10

The original Dr Who music.

We always had jacket potatoes with onion and bacon and watched final score (to do the pools) followed by Dr Who and I had to make sure I was sitting next to my dad so I could hide behind him when the daleks came on.
