No response after interview

I am just wondering whether to feedback about my recent interview experience.

I recieved an invitation to an assessment day via email at 2pm on the Friday afternoon, over a week after the closing date. The assessment day was to take place on the Monday, and as I didn't see the email until after I had left work on Friday afternoon, it was a PITA to sort it out with my current employer over the weekend.

Throughout the assessment day, I had constant problems with not recieving emails with the tasks in them. I am convinced they had a mistyped email address for me on some mailing list. Thankfully, one of the managers thought to call me at the end of the day to check i had recieved the email inviting me to Stage 2. I had not.

I then had to take another half day off in the same week to attend a F2F interview. One of four candidates. It goes well but I'm pretty sure they think i'm over qualified.

Since then..... nothing. Not a single thing in over two weeks. I sent a polite email to HR requesting some feedback (I clearly know by now I haven't been successful) and not even a response to that.

My question is really; do I email them with feedback of my own? I took a day and half off work, not to mention all the interview prep, and they can't even drop me a generic email to say thank, but no thanks. From a company that's supposedly all about people, I'm quite surprised at their lack of manners.

Just ring them? For all you know they could have already offered you the job but you didn’t receive the offer due to them mistyping your email address. Honestly though they sound like a bunch of cowboys so maybe you’ve dodged a bullet if you don’t get the post.

That's why I emailed though; it was the HR address that I used. I figured if they had emailed me and it had not been delivered, then that would prompt them to reply to my query. They also definitely have my phone number so I'm sure if they were offering it to me they would have called. I've only ever been offered jobs over the phone.

Ah, the curse of Inhuman Resources, OP! I sent off an application last week & haven’t had so much as an acknowledgement. It sounds pretty dysfunctional, much like my own place of work. The department is understaffed and overwhelmed - I work for a pretty famous organisation & existing staff experience much the same as you. It’s rubbish and really there’s no excuse, but you’re not alone. Do you have a number you can call them on?

I don't: the only numbers publicly available online are for customer care.

I do have a direct email for one of the interviewers. He is also the one who thought to ring me about putting me through to the second stage. It feels a bit forward to use this thoough, rather than the recruitment email.

Have you checked your spam file, if other emails have gone missing?

Yes, of course I have.

Nothing wrong with being 'forward' if you've interviewed twice! It's the least I'd expect.
Email him, request feedback & give some of your own when he responds.
