What do I need from Ikea?

Going to Ikea for the first time in years thanks to lockdown!

What do I need? Except the new pan and shower caddy I'm actually going for.

The octopus drier thing for hanging up clothes.

Bosephine · 12/02/2022 20:10

Bag clips.

Thedogshow · 12/02/2022 20:11

A houseplant

imhereforthecake · 12/02/2022 20:13

IKEA will tell you what you need when you get there Grin

Goodbyecustardtart · 12/02/2022 20:13

Freezer bags
Green marzipan cakes

LostWithoutDottyP · 12/02/2022 20:14

The cheese with holes in a black wrapper, and an almond tart.

StrawberrySquirrelThief · 12/02/2022 20:14

Everything Grin

TerryChoc · 12/02/2022 20:16

Second the octopus!

Also, meatballs and all the trimmings from the shop at the end.

glycogenii · 12/02/2022 20:18

Napkins. Always napkins.

I love their square trays too. Pack of cutlery. A fleecy blanket to keep in the car for trips out.

Splashinginpuddles15 · 12/02/2022 20:19

A visit to the cafe for meatballs .
Princess cakes from the shop and the lemon and dill sauce in a pouch to pour over fish .
You can’t plan the rest - random things will suddenly seem irresistible as you walk through the market hall - washing up brushes , plants , lamps - you name it !

duvetdayforeveryone · 12/02/2022 20:20

Are you looking for smaller everyday items or furniture recommendations?

Bobbybobbins · 12/02/2022 20:20

Definitely meatballs. And daim bar cheesecake.

Totally agree with the poster above who said IKEA will tell you what you need Grin

whensmynexthol1day · 12/02/2022 20:21

Freezer bags, storage boxes, drinking glasses, scissors, batteries

Goodbyecustardtart · 12/02/2022 20:23

Ost Blamogel - blue cheese is delicious

Icantremembermyusername · 12/02/2022 20:23

Tealights. Napkins. Napkin holder. Bag clips. The cheapest of the cheap standard lamp - there will always be a room needing it.

Danikm151 · 12/02/2022 20:25

Everything… take a credit card 😂

DeadButDelicious · 12/02/2022 20:25

Big bag of tea lights.

The really cheap up lighter thing.

USB plug adapters.

Sideswiped · 12/02/2022 20:26

I'm never able to resist scissors or knives.... Confused

Redpriestandmozart · 12/02/2022 20:29

Gubbrora spatula, they're only a quid but last forever.

OhFuckBloodyHell · 12/02/2022 20:30

25kg sack of tea lights Grin

Humungous sandwich bags

One of those bowls with grater lids

I would say the suction cup washing up brushes - but they weren't there last time I went. What ikea is for if it's not a washing up brush that you can stick to the sink/wall/floor/ceiling/your forehead then I don't know.

Mini daim bars?

cherrypiepie · 12/02/2022 21:08

This is great!! Yes soctopis as ddog thought it was his when he was a pup so has few teeth marks in it!

Used my last very large food bag. Spatula sound interesting and recently stopped killing all the houseplants so will get another.

Defo bag clips as I only have two! I had two bags.

@duvetdayforeveryone mainly the odd bits that you always get when you go for a kallax and spend £150 on baby diam bars

OP posts:
cherrypiepie · 12/02/2022 21:11

Scissors as mine are all blunt

I love blue cheese!

What are the square trays?

OP posts:
Sideswiped · 12/02/2022 21:11

The pear cider - alcoholic or non-alcoholic as you wish.
The meat balls and lingonberry sauce.

Sideswiped · 12/02/2022 21:14

Skubb - you can never have enough of them! So useful.
