I've done really well. First few days very hard, but then you really do stop wanting it.
My skin is better, my mood is better, PMS under control for the first time ever and I have more energy/am less tired.
When I say sugar free, I mean refined sugar. I'm basically not having sweets, cakes, biscuits. I'm not checking ingredients for savoury things (although don't tend to eat much processed food) and I refuse to demonise fruit.
Anyway, I've done really well and seen lots of benefit, but I work with troubled teens and one of them baked cake today. I was honoured to be offered a slice, there was no way I was saying anything other than "how wonderful, thank you very much" and it was delicious.
That's not my sugar free streak broken surely?!
I think alturistic cake eating must be different because normally once I get a taste of sugar I'm hunting around for more and I haven't done that this afternoon
