ASOS - Weird problem: my account does not seem to exist

Right, anybody has had any strange goings on win ASOS?

Never ordered from them before until last Wednesday. Ordered two items, paid by Paypal, saved a screen shot from ASOS website with order reference, etc.

Got Paypal receipt with detais of items but neve got a confirmation from ASOS.

Today, Hermes sent a text to say they'd delivery today, which they did. Except there was only one of two items (and it will need returning as it's obviously huge).

Started a chat with ASOS customer services, who tell me:

  • No account registered with my email adress at all
  • The reference number in my screenshot is incorrect
  • The chat was accidentally transfered to a second agent, who the ended it without warning

Since then, I cannot restart a chat (just won't load in my screen) and have not been able to log it (incorrect user or password, and cannot reset password as I am not getting any emails from ASOS. Never have)

I have paid for two items, I have one missing, I need to return the item I did receive but there is no paperwork or trace of me or my order!

Anyone had similar? Any idea what's going on? Confused

Thanks!

I suspect fat fingers when entering the encl address so it's one character out. I would tweet then as their Twitter help is normally pretty good and ask that they try and find you by your address

No idea about the ref no though, that is odd

Thanks. I have managed to restart chat. I was locked out of the account and seems to have allowed me again afer a couple of hours.

Will see if that helps and report back!

Well, they agree it is odd and they have passed on my query to their specialist team, who will email be on the orginal email address (I did double check that it was correct Wink)

I wonder what weird and wonderful reason there may be for this. Will report back.
