Gig tickets question

Never been a big gig-goer and have realised I don't really know how anything works!

DH badly wants to see a specific gig at the O2 Brixton Academy.

It is sold out on the band's website.

I can get tickets on Ticketmaster but they are showing as Resale.

What does this mean?
Is it legit or dodgy?

Also, anyone know the venue? Is it seated or is it all standing?

I know nothing. My idea of fun is a nice history documentary.

It just means someone bought the tickets and sold them back to Ticketmaster! Totally legit I’ve done it myself several times. They don’t get any money unless the ticket sells. You’ll pay slightly more than what they’ll receive due to admin fees etc

And the venue looks like it can be all seated or they can remove the “floor” seats for standing. What’s the gig?

Brixton academy is all standing, it’s a big sloping downwards floor with a mosh pit

The balcony has seating.

But really the best place is floor, left of the stage as you face it about half way up 😬

Floor standing, balcony seated :) Brixton is an amazing venue
