I've wanted one since I was a child. Anybody with any real life, ( spots and all), experience ?

Yep agree, I wouldn't have a dog with poo at the end of its breed name, I use that loosely saying breed. Wouldn't have a collie as they aren't suited to us, never a Viszla either but do think they are beautiful and any I've met are friendly. We all have our own love but I wouldn't go and slate a particular breed just because I had a bad experience or didn't understand its needs. X

My mum's had two in her life. The first, many many years ago trashed the house frequently and actually set the house on fire while my mum was out and the dog had to be rescued by a neighbour smashing the living room window to save her.

The second had a dream life, unlimited land to explore, lots of socialisation...everything any dog could want or need. It bit lots of other dogs (one very seriously) and several people and was eventually put to sleep.

Yes! Another breed I love and have had but lived near the moors so again tons of decent exercise. None of this 15 minutes in the local park and a load of other over stimulating weird stuff!

I frequently meet one on my regular country park walk with my dog. He's lovely but on a long line due to his hip dysplasia and poor recall... and he's known as 'Mickey the dick'! because he is just can't behave!

Beautiful but there are far easier breeds out there (and I say that as the owner of a 'tricky' breed!

We had 2 bitches when I was growing up and I don't recognise them from these posts. They were gentle and loving, never got tired when we went out riding with them but didn't need a long walk every day. They did, however, moult like mad and I never wore black or navy until I left home - the short white hairs became embedded in everything and had to be picked off by hand. They were lovely dogs.
