Caring for an elderly relative, who needs regular bowls of warm water to help with a medical condition. Lifting bowls up and down is real pain.
The washing machine is nearby. It fills from cold water only, so there is a valve on the warm pipe which is unused. Would it be possible to connect a pipe to the hot water valve, with a tap or shower head on the other end, to fill bowls of water? Would need to be able to turn the water on/off from the bowl end, rather than going back to the washing machine pipe end.
If yes, what is the name of the pipe I ask for?
If no, I guess that the sensible solution is to get a plumber out to fit a different type of tap onto our sink - I know that some have an internal thread, onto which you can screw a shower hose (though would still need an on off valve at the other end.)
Sorry it sounds complicated. We are actually after a simple adaptation which would make life much easier for a disabled person.
Thank youuu
