Ebay hell..

Has anyone recently registered as an eBay seller? I registered two weeks ago and I've sold almost £1000 worth of items that have been posted. The process with eBay is that in order to verify your bank account, they send micro deposits which you then have to acknowledge. Once that process is completed, ebay then transfer the sales receipts from their account to your account. However, I have still not received the micro deposits, so ebay are currently holding all of my money for sales already completed. I'm so angry and frustrated as I'm also out of pocket for the postage, packaging, fuel costs etc etc. I've tried speaking with them and they just say that I have to wait!! I need the money to pay bills and it just seems so unfair that buyers have the goods and I have nothing.

I know this post is a few months old, but I’m in the same predicament.

My payout was due today for my first completed sale, now I’ve got a red exclamation mark next to it and says “No payouts available” and I’ve got the message about updating the account and microdeposits.

There are no micro deposit amounts in my account, so presumably they haven’t sent them yet.

I’m really frustrated as I want my money!
I’ve got nearly £300 pending.

Can I ask what happened with yours in the end? Did you receive your money eventually? And the micro-deposits too?

Once I was verified and did the deposits etc, I sold a few things.

Ebay held my money for a month before it became available to withdraw. I got a different story every time I spoke to them. Something to do with being a new seller. Never again would I touch them.

Honestly op, I wouldn't hold your breath for a quick payout even once you're verified.

I was paid the next day, double check you have it set for daily payouts when you can

I've just had this, used them regularly years ago, got 100% feedback.

Just sold £300 worth of stuff as i've just paid for our holiday and needed cash to tide me over till payday.

All sold and now Ebay have my funds on hold till 30th June. So I have had to find £30 to pay for postage plus i'm not going to see any money for ages. They say they hold it to ensure items are received and there are no disputes.

I'm done, will not use them again now.

I’ve had my items verified that they’ve arrived and had good reviews from buyers. But still that’s not enough.

I wish they’d told me earlier about these micro deposits , as yesterday it said my payout date was ready for today ☹️ Now they’re holding it again with an exclamation mark saying I need to verify bank details with these micro-deposits which still haven’t arrived.
Could take 3-5 days apparently! 😡🤬 getting so frustrated with it now. I’m out of pocket for postage and I want my money!

It's so frustrating isn't it, especially when you need the money.

I'm regretting it now because I could have used facebook or vinted, instead i'm
worse off than when I started. Hope yours get sorted soon

I'm sick of ebay now. Had my account years and they want me to verify the account I use to pay fees and buy items with. so they are happy to take money but if I don't verify they won't give me mine. Recently sold an item for around £550 and the fees were over £100. Sellers are often based abroad and don't say and you have no way to set UK only permenantly when searching. I think the removed the - search as well so you have to sift through tons of stuff you don't want. I mainly use amazon now for the next day delivery if only amazon created a ebay thing so you could send your item to them they sell it and ship it out the next day. I saw a UK guy selling a metal bracelet as silver cleverly listed as used. I found the Chinese seller looked at his feedback and found tons was from the guy selling the bracelet. The UK seller had sold hundreds at a £90 markup I reported him multiple times explained to ebay if they look at his purchases they will see he is buying them and listing them as silver. The didn't remove him for a year and they probably only did so when more people started complaining about what they bought

Unbelievably difficult to get micropayments that work and are in date.
im one week later still trying to get my money. This is all very convenient for ebay
