You've chosen well! Though you may want to come back for a longer visit after getting a taste of Belfast.

Bus from International - it's fine, obviously a taxi would be faster but the bus doesn't take too long and will get you right to the city centre.

Crumlin Road Gaol - I've not been but have heard good things from those who have.

Titanic - yes, you can easily walk to it. from the city centre

Late lunch - I really rate the Ginger Bistro, www.gingerbistro.com/. Not the cheapest, but it is very good with a relaxed atmosphere.

For those not familiar with Belfast, it's worth heading to Victoria Square shopping centre, not for the shops (though they're good) but for the Dome - a viewing platform in the rooftop glass dome. You'll get a good feel for the layout of the city, and you can see out towards Carrickfergus to the north and Stormont to the east. There's a guide there too, who can point out various landmarks and give you some good information. Free to visit, no need to book. victoriasquare.com/the-dome/

Taxi tour with Paddy Campbell Black Cab Tours. Can't recommend highly enough - will pick you up from wherever, take you on a guided tour of whatever you want to see and tell you loads of history.

I pretty much left it to my driver to decide what we saw but ended up wishing I'd booked a whole day.

Would also recommend a black taxi tour, really great way to learn about the city and see lots of places you wouldn't see on your own.

If you like seafood, then Mourne seafood bar is fantastic.

Would also recommend afternoon tea or just a cocktail in the Grand Central observatory

Bus tour is good fun

You must go to the Titanic Hotel for at least a drink! It's magnificent!

We went to the Titanic museum last July, it’s really good.

Bus tour is a good idea. It would be a trek from the gaol to titanic but you could Uber it.

Ox for lunch. oxbelfast.com
Or Deanes, Edo, Coppi. CoCo. Loads of good places to eat!

You can absolutely walk to Titanic. I would suggest the open top red bus tour hop on hop off thingy though.

emmathedilemma · 08/02/2022 13:14

i was going to suggest doing the HOHO bus as it stops at the international airport but it seems to be on a restricted route/timetable at the moment :( It definitely went past the airport on the way to Stormont when we did it. Anyway, it's still worth doing if you've only got a day and the guides were really good.
I believe Crumlin Road Goal is great but my flight out was delayed so I missed going! Titanic museum was good but it's huge, you could easily be in there half a day so I guess it depends how much time you want to allocate to it. Take water in with you, I just remember it being so hot!
There was some good exhibits in the City Hall too.

I went recently and walked from Titanic to Crumlin Rd Gaol easily enough. You get a feel for the recent history too.

Loved Belfast - such a friendly, unexpectedly lovely city. We saw the Orangemen marching too - that was an added bonus.

In truth, we went mainly to see the Line of Duty filming locations Blush.

Wished we'd stayed a couple nights longer but will definitely be going back.

We are planning a visit to the Game of thrones tour when it opens. So loitering for more tips. Smile
